The Papal Visit - Cofton Park, Birmingham

the papal visit cofton parkThe Beatification of Cardinal John Henry Newman, Cofton Park, Birmingham.

19 September 2010

Fulcrum provided the power generation, mains distribution and related services for this exceptional event in September 2010. We spent over a month on site helping to transform Cofton Park in Birmingham into a ‘venue’ suitable for the Papal Mass and over 50,000 visiting pilgrims.

A total of 1,200 coaches transported pilgrims to the Cofton Park site, with around 2,000 police officers in attendance on the day. A total of 1,000 choristers sang during the mass with 300 priests concelebrating.

We provided 36 generators, 109 distribution units and 26km of cable along with 26 crew members who walked a collective total of 1200km around Cofton Park!
